Testimonials
“Hidden away in Manzini, Swaziland is a small business that has transformed the lives of some of the country’s poorest families. Eswatini Swazi Kitchen is a truly remarkable place where a team of women of all ages make some of the most delicious jams, chutneys and atchars you can lay your hands on, all produced to stringent international quality and safety standards.
The atmosphere is clean, bright and happy; the women chat, laugh and sing as they work. For them, Eswatini has been a lifeline. Some of the women came from drug rehabilitation centres, or were forced to live on the streets; others have simply struggled to keep their children from starvation. Most of them thought they were worthless. It’s hard to believe that when you meet them now. In just a few years, the lives of all the Eswatini women have changed dramatically. A regular income has meant that they can now afford to send their children to school, buy food and plan for the future.
Everyone at Eswatini knows that they are producing a first class product, and a sense of personal responsibility, of pride, is embedded in everyone’s contribution”
